possibly the rules or laws the environment held. seperating the lower class, middle class and high class. i think the lower class were treated badly for their society status.

example on the Egyptian era where they were building the pyramids. the chattel or debt slaves were used making the iconic pyramid.

so in my opinion about the early humans challenges it's probably harder, they were defined the generation of judging and no equal rights.
