Giraffe

Habitat: Mainly Giraffe are living in savanna, sahel and dry open woodland, especially the region with an abundance of acacia (small thorny tree) which is their favorite foods. Historically, giraffe existed in most of African countries. Food: Giraffe mainly eat foods that are tall. They eat the leaves from bushes, and fruits from the trees too. Their favorite food is the acacia tree. Typically giraffe eats 30kg of food in day.

Activity: When giraffes walk, they can reach up to 55km/h at full speed. They sleep less than two hours a day with their feet tucked under their body and their head resting on the hindquarters. But giraffe can also sleep standing up in short period of time.

Characteristic: Giraffes have spots covering the entire body, except underbelly. Every giraffe have a unique pattern of sports. They have long neck to browse the leaves/bushes of trees. Their legs are also long.

Birds

Habitat: Birds live in various habitats, they can be found in deserts, mountains, forests, tundras, near the bodies of water, etc. Birds don’t usually migrate, but some are migrating to warmer countries when the season changes.

Activity: Bird’s activity are mainly consist of flying, looking for food, sometimes sunbathing under the warm temperature as well.

Characteristic: Birds have feathers, wings, beak and producing eggs.

Cow

Habitat: Cow lives in grasslands but they can also be found in a domesticated habitat farmed for meat and milk.

Food: Usually cow eats a mix of grass hay alfalfa hay and grains like corn and grass silage.

Activity: Cow mainly eats and sometimes they are walking too. They are not considered as active animals.

Characteristic: Cow is big and heavy, because they are raised to produce dairy products like milk, cheese and other products like meat and veal. In terms of color you may find different colors, some are black and white, some are brown.

Dog

Habitat: Naturally dogs are living in the wild such as prairies, deserts, grasslands, forests, rain forests, coastal regions and arctic zones.

Food: In the wild dogs are eating their prey, this could be small animals like mice, voles, rabbits, birds, insects, etc.

Crocodile

Habitat: Crocodiles are mainly found in Africa, Asia and Australia also Americas. They normally live near lakes, rivers, wetlands sometimes saltwaters too.

Food: They are carnivores, it means that they are only eating meat. They eat fish, birds, frogs and crustaceans.

Activity: Generally crocodiles become active only when they are looking for preys. Most of the time they are sunbathing on and off the water.

Characteristic: Sizes varies depending on where its living. Usually it could grow to over 20 feet in length. They have large, broad body with short legs and muscular nails. Skin is leathery as well.

Duck

Habitat: Normally you can find ducks in the water like marshes, oceans, rivers, ponds and lakes because ducks love the water.

Food: Ducks eat small fish, fish eggs, snails, worms, slugs and mollusks.

Activity: Ducks can be found in group, usually they’re walking together.

Characteristic: Ducks are smaller than swans and geese. They have shorter necks and wings and a stout body.
