"The Importance of Studying"

It is undeniable that we cannot live without knowledge

That is why Islam commands us to seek knowledge, both in the hereafter and in this world, and there is no reason for us not to seek knowledge.

as the Prophet SAW said:

طَلَبُ الْعِلْمِ فَرِيْضَةٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ

"Seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim" (HR. Ibnu Majah)

Why did the Prophet oblige his people to seek knowledge?

Because with knowledge we understand what is right and what is false, with knowledge we will understand what is good and what is bad. With knowledge, we know what is halal and haram.

Important notes why we should study include:

First, because science is the light of life that will illuminate and guide people to the right path.

Second, because knowledge is the key to unlocking the secrets of nature, namely the secret of success in life in this world as well as in the hereafter.

Third, Allah subhanahu wa ta'aala has promised to raise the level of people who have knowledge to become noble people.

Allah swt says in Surah Al-Mujadilah verse: 11

يَرْفَعِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ دَرَجَٰت

Meaning: "Allah will raise the degree of believers and those who have knowledge by several degrees."

Therefore, let us continue to seek knowledge, because with knowledge we will get happiness in this world and the hereafter.
