Today we gather to commemorate World Oceans Day, which falls on June 8th every year. As we know, the ocean is one of the important natural resources for life on earth. Besides serving as a transportation route, the ocean is also a habitat for various marine species.

Unfortunately, the existence of marine life is increasingly threatened due to factors such as climate change, pollution, and illegal hunting. Therefore, World Oceans Day is an appropriate momentum to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the marine ecosystem.

As humans who have a responsibility for the sustainability of the earth's life, we must preserve the marine life and ecosystem. We can do small things like properly disposing of trash, not dumping chemical waste into the ocean, and buying legal and sustainable seafood products.
