Narrative Tekt adalah Jenis teks yang menceritakan suatu kisah secara kronlogis dan berurut.

• Contohnya teks “The Lion and the Mouse” termasuk ke Jenis Narative teks tipe fable
• karena mencerikan kisah antara hewan.

Generic structure

1. Orientation, berisi pengenalan tokoh dalam cerita
2. Complication, berisi masalah mulai atau konflik ceritanya
3. Resolution, berisi pemecahan masalahan yang dilakukan tokoh
4. Re-orientation, berisi akhir cerita yang biasanya tokoh bisa memecahkan masalahnya.

1. Orientation: Once upon a time, there lived a lion in a forest.
2. Complication: One day after eating his meal, the lion felt asleep under a tree. When the lion slept, a little mouse came and started to play on the lion.
3. Resolution: Suddenly, the lion woke up, pickedup the mouse andopened his mouth to eat him. "I'm sorry, please don't eat me. I don't mean to wake you up. I was just playing. If you let me go now, maybe I can help you one day", said the mouse. "That's funny! Okey. I will let you go", said the lion.
4. Re-orientation: A few moment later, a hunter's net fell on the lion. The lion couldn't get up. The mouse saw the lion and ran to help. The mouse helped the lion get out. "You are a little mouse, but you are a big help. Thank you!", said the lion.
