My Learning Experience

Long story short, our teacher assigned us to make a 250 words long paragraph about an experience. Specifically our learning experience, in English of course. I was panicking because I had no idea how to speak English. Let alone write in English! I had no other choice, I asked Google, and found this cool learning website called Brainly.

Luckily, someone named Oorali helped me out! I was relieved. I immediately copied and pasted Oorali's words to my assignment and submitted my homework to the teacher. The next day, I got an A+ and was proud of my hard work.

The next thing I knew, the teacher messaged me. This got my anxiety through the roof. "I think my teacher knows I plagiarized!" I said. I was preparing myself, but secretly still hoping that the teacher hadn't notice.

The teacher said, "Hello". And I respectfully said "Hi". And then the teacher said "I just wanted to say, I'm proud of you! You've worked so hard on the assignment I've given you. I didn't think you were such a knowledgeable student, you've used words that are simple, yet elegant, in your writing assignment. So, how about you signed up for our school's annual writing competition? The winner will get to represent our school at the District level!"

"What the heck!" I said in my head. "It was just a simple writing task, why is this happening to me!? I don't know anything about writing! I just copied and pasted from that Oorali someone and the teacher wants me to compete!? Oh, why did I plagiarized?" I said to myself.

So I typed "Thank you very much, but I don't think I would be smart enough to compete". I said respectfully. The teacher replied, "Oh no no, you are a smart person. You're assignment has proven that. Your essay was so well structured, and you're still in 7th Grade!". She said.

I panicked. If I lose, I'll just humiliate myself! And all the teachers in my school will know I plagiarized! They're never going to look at me the same way ever again. "Oh, what do I do!? I can't just say no, that'll be disrespectful."

I had no other choice! I'm going to end this lie! So, I replied to my teacher. "No". And that's basically what happened, after that, my teacher never talked to me again.
