Bawang merah dan bawang putih is a popular story in indonesia. The bawang merah dan bawang putih is a great story with good messages. This story tells about a girl called bawang putih, bawang putih is a humble and a good girl. One day her mother died and not long after her father married to another woman with one daughter. Bawang Putih step mother only cares about her daughter and her daughter is evil, arrogant, and also lazy. Long after that his father got sick and sadly passed away leaving bawang putih alone with her evil stepmother and evil stepsister. One day when she cleans all dirty clothes, she realized that her stepmother favorite shirt drifted in the river. Bawang putih tells her stepmother about this incident. instead forgiving her, the evil stepmother force bawang putih to search the river until she finds the drifted clothes. While searching the river, she meets a hunter and she asks him if he sees drifted clothes, the hunter knows it and pointed his finger at the direction.  It turns out that her grandma find the clothing that she's searching, because it is dark her grandma told her to stay at her house for the night. While staying at her grandma's house, she helps her grandma do house chores, because of that grandma offers two pumpkins to choose as gifts and take home. She choose the small one. When she arrived at home she cuts the pumpkin and she is surprised that the contents were golds and diamonds. She tells that to her evil stepmother and her evil stepsister. Heard that, Bawang merah (or her evil stepsister) drifted a clothing on purpose, and search for bawang putih's grandmother. Diffrent from Bawang Putih, While in bawang putih's grandmother house Bawang Merah is very lazy and didnt want to help her do her house chores. After 5 days the grandmother got angry and told her to go home. Bawang merah ask for the pumpkin, and she picks the big one and leaving grandmother's house without saying anything (goodbye). At home bawang merah and her mother ready to cut the pumpking, but bawang merah forced bawang putin to get out of the house. After bawang putih leaves the house, bawang merah and her mother cuts the pumpkin, but when they cut it, the pumpkin emit venomous snakes, scorpions, and centipedes. It kills them both Excluding bawang putih.
