Indonesia is a large tropical country. There are not many countries having so many different kinds of plants as Indonesia. Some of them are found nowhere else in the world and some are rare species. Therefore, the government feels responsible to protect them.In order to protect the plants the government has made places, such as botanical garden and flower garden.
A botanical garden is very large. It is a place where many kinds of trees, shrubs and plants are grown and maintained. In this way they grow as if in their natural habitat. The most famous botanical garden is in Bogor and it has branches in Cibodas, Purwodadi, Malang and Bedugul, Bali.
The Bogor Botanical Garden is not only famous for the complete collection of tropical plants from Indonesia but also various plants from other tropical countries.
