PEMBAHASAN

Simple present tense adalah kalimat yang menunjukkan tentang kebiasaan seseorang. Keterangan waktu yang biasa di gunakan adalah everyday, in this morning, every morning, etc. Selain itu, simple present tense menggunakan keterangan frekuensi seperti, always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, or never. Rumus dalam simple present tense :

Nominal :

• Positif (+) = S + to be (Is/are/am) + Adj/Noun/Adverb
• Negatif (-) = S + to be (Is/are/am) + not + Adj/Noun/Adverb
• Interrogatif (?) = To be(Is/are/am) + S + Adj/Noun/Adverb

Verbal :

• - Positif (+) = S + V1 ⇒ I, you, they, we + O
• Positif (+) = S + V1 (s/es) ⇒ He, she, it + O
• Negatif (-) = S + (do/does) + not + V1 + O
• Interrogatif (?) = (Do/does) + S + V1 + O

=> Mother does not read a magazine in the morning. (Ibu tidak membaca majalah di pagi hari)

=> J.K Rowling writes her novels in a cafe (J.K Rowling menulis novelnya di sebuah cafe)

7. I (not/go) . . . to thee English course on Saturdays.

=> I do not go to the English course on Saturdays. (Saya tidak pergi ke kursus bahasa Inggris di hari Sabtu)

8. Diana (go) . . . to the local library on Wednesday afternoons.

=> Diana goes to the local library on Wednesday afternoons. (Diana pergi ke perpustakaan sekitar di hari Rabu sore hari)

9. The kids (not/like) . . . the food at the canteen.

=> The kids do not like the food at the canteen. (Anak - anak tidak suka makanan di kantin)

10. They (brush) . . . their teeth before going to bed.

=> They brush their teeth before going to bed. (Mereka menyikat gigi mereka sebelum tidur)
