In the old days, the snail never carried their shells anywhere. They always moved around to find a safe and comfortable home to live.

B. Complication

At first the snails lived in a left over bird’s nest in the trees. It was a warm and cool place protected by the leaves. But when it rained, the leaves fell and could not shelter  snails which made them cold and wet. So, the snails moved into the the holes in the trunks of the trees. It seemed like a perfect place for the snails until they found a woodpecker making noisy pecks on the trunks. Being very annoyed, the snails went out ot the trunk and tried to find another place. The snails found a hole in the ground which seemed to be warm at night. They decided to clean the place and moved in to stay. When the night came, unfortunately many rats came from everywhere to damage the holes. Again, the snails had to abandoned the hole and tried to find a new home.

The snails then moved over to the edge of the beach filled with coral reefs where they found a safe place on the sidelines of the coral reefs. But pretty soon the snails could not stand the surge of the wave which were pounding them from time to time from on top of the rock. As usual, the snail had to leave again to find another home.

C. Resolution

The next morning, the snails realized he had found his perfect home. It protected him from the heat and rain and nobody would annoy him. At last, he made the shell his home and carried it with him everywhere he went. He had found his perfect home.  

D. Reorientation

The snail did not have to go too far and too many complicated places to find his perfect home. It was his own shells which turned out to be his perfect home.

E. Moral value

In life, we often tried to find things in some far away places and in a complicated ways whereas the solution was just in front of our eyes. We often took things for granted and missed the real essence of life which was keep it simple and easy.
