TIGERTigers are the biggest of all cats. they live in the grassland and forests of asia, where their striped coat gives them good camouflage when they hunt. female tigers give birth to between one and three cubs. the cubs stay with their mother for over a year.
A tiger slowly stalks its prey, a deer, through the long grass, when it is close enough, it makes a sudden dash, leaps onto the deer's back, and knocks it down. A quick bite to the neck kills the deer.
Tigers are hunted for their beautiful coats, and for their bones and body parts, which are used in traditional Chinese medicine. Because of this tigers are nearly extinct.
