EXPLANATION

Conditional sentence adalah kalimat bersyarat, di mana suatu keinginan dapat terwujud apabila syarat-syaratnya terpenuhi.

Conditional type I

• Keinginan yang kemungkinan terwujud saat ini berdasarkan prediksi. (True in the present/future)

Pola :

[Simple present + Future simple]

If+S+verb1(s/es)..., S+will/can+verb1......

Contoh:

If my parents are here, I will be happy.

Conditional type II

• Keinginan yang diragukan terwujud saat ini tetapi belum pasti benar. (Untrue in the present/future)

Pola :

[Simple past + Past future]

If+S+verb²......, S+would/could+verb¹......

Contoh:

If my parents were here, I would be happy.

Conditional type III

• Keinginan yang sangat tidak mungkin terwujud di waktu lampau. Pengulasannya saat ini hanyalah gagasan yang kemungkinan membawa perubahan . (Untrue in the past)

Pola :

[Past perfect + Past future perfect]

If+S+had+Verb³ ..., S+would/could+have+verb³..

Contoh:

If my parents had been here, I would have been happy.
