 The British people nicknamed the bird "The Bird of Paradise" as they were so fascinated with the beauty of the Cendrawasih bird that they refused to acknowledge its existence. Cendrawasih was used as a gift for the Kings in 1522, following the European's recognition of the bird's existence.

 Cendrawasih is a Papuan bird that represents the country's magnificent nature and culture. It is also a sign of unity. Cendrawasih is classified as a Paradisaea genus. There are 43 different species of Cendrawasih in the forest, ranging from sea level to mid-mountain woodland.

 Cendrawasih have long bills and powerful feet. It has a variety of hues on its body, ranging from yellow and blue to red and green. The beautiful feathers, on the other hand, are only found in male species, as they are required for mating and to attract female birds. The male birds would flaunt their wide and dazzling feathers while doing an elegant courtship dance to win the females' hearts. In contrast, females have colourless feathers. They have dull feathers to keep them safe while laying eggs and raising their young.

 Cendrawasih is gifted with a lovely voice and captivating dancing, in addition to their majestic beauty. Notable for its gorgeous feathers, they are unfortunately a persistent victim of unlawful hunting and are on the verge of extinction. Not to mention the plantation's deforestation, which has substantially reduced its habitat.
