Berikut ini adalah pilihan jawaban terbaik dari pertanyaan diatas.

Jawaban:

1. I made cocholate cake today.

2. Yes, I cut the grass and swept the back yard.

Penjelasan:

Untuk irregular verb (kata kerja tak beraturan), pembentukan verb-2 (dipakai untuk kalimat simple past tense)  tidak mengikuti kaidah yang umum yaitu menambahkan -edatau-d di akhir verb tersebut, tapi dia mengalami perubahan ejaan/huruf, perubahan ucapan atau tidak berubah sama sekali dari verb1 nya.

Contoh yang berubah ejaannya: soal nomor 1: dari make menjadi made

Contoh yang ejaan tidak berubah tapi pengucapan berubah: soal nomor 11: read menjadi read (sama tulisannya) tapi diucapkan berbeda. Kalau verb 1 dibaca: riid, tapi dalam verb2 dibaca red

Contoh yang tidak ada perubahan sama sekali: coal nomor 2: cut. Tidak berubah baik tulisan maupun pengucapan.
