If the idea like Marshall Plan is implemented in many poor African countries, this world would be a better place. Do you agree or disagree to the statement?

I agree with the Marshall Plan to be implemented in many poor African countries, and it will make the world a better place. This is because Marshall Plan, that is developed my Germany, and they will invest in Africa to bring in technology so this will open a lot of jobs for Africans.

Marshall Plan is a new era of working relationship between Europe and Africa that will bring industrial development and deliver big opportunities for the Africa’s fast-growing youth population. Africa also offers a lot of mining materials necessary for producing high tech devices and komputer chips. This will also help to promote entrepreneurship and innovation to the African people so they start building high tech companies which will open a lot of jobs.

Therefore, there is no doubt that the cooperation with the government of Germany through the Marshall Plan is good for the African people and its economy. The plan will create many  economic opportunities for the local people in Africa.

Tulisan di atas tergolong Descriptive Text yang menjelaskan tentang kemungkinan kerjasama ekonomi yang dinamakan Marshall Plan antara negara Jerman dan negara-negara di Africa. Descriptive Text adalah sebuah teks yang menjelaskan tentang seseorang, suatu benda, sebuah kejadian/pengalaman, sebuah lokasi, dan lain-lain. Descriptive Text bertujuan untuk memberi informasi detail tentang sesuatu hal agar dapat dipahami oleh yang membaca.

• Bagian Identifikasi - Bagian ini biasanya memberi informasi garis besar tentang apa yang akan diceritakan oleh penulis sehingga pembaca mendapatkan gambaran dasar tentang apa yang akan dibaca selanjutnya.
• Bagian Description - Bagian ini merupakan bagian utama yang berisi pokok cerita yang akan dijelaskan beserta dengan detail dan rinciannya serta contoh-contoh apabila diperlukan. Dengan membeberkan informasi secara detail pembaca diharapkan akan memahami dengan jelas apa yang ditulis oleh penulis tersebut.

Descriptive Text memiliki ciri-ciri sebagai berikut:

• Menggunakan Simple Present Tense.
• Banyak menggunakan kata sifat (adjective) dalam teks untuk menjelaskan tentang sesuatu.
• Banyak menggunakan relating verb (kata kerja penghubung) seperti: is/am/are, has/have dan lain-lain dalam teks.
