Simple past tenseadalahverb tense yg digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan kejadian yang telah terjadi dan berakhir pada waktu lampau.

Untuk golongan kata kerja beraturan (regular verb) hanya ditambahkan akhiran -ed dan akhiran -d untuk kata kerja yg berakhiran -e.
