DIALOGUE 1:

You: “Excuse me, Sir. Do you by any chance know where’s the nearest shopping center?”

Receptionist: “Of course I do, there’s a lovely place of walking distance from here. The place is called Metropolis Mall”

You: “How far off is it?”

Receptionist: “About a mile and a half.”

You: “It’s such a pity that I have to walk there on a hot day like this.”

Receptionist: “Not to worry, I can call a taxi if you’d like to!”

You: “That’ll be great! Thanks a lot.”

Receptionist: “Don’t mention it!”

DIALOGUE 2:

You: “Hello, what’s the matter?”

Little Boy: “I’ve lost my mother!”

You: “Oh, poor child. I can help you find her... sorry, what’s your name?”

Little Boy: “Bob.”

You: “Do you remember what your mother looks like?”

Bob: “She’s got brunette hair, and she was wearing a blue dress.”

You: “I’m afraid there are too much women wearing blue dresses here, let us go to the receptionist and they will announce your name to the whole mall. Is that alright?”

Bob: “OK, thank you”

DIALOGUE 3

You: “Hello, are you finished with the cake?”

Your mother: “Almost done, but it needs some topping. Do you mind getting me some chocolate chips from the cabinet?”

You: “Here you go.”

Your Mother: “Thank you, dear.”

You: “Do you want me to attach these for you while you clean up the dishes?”

Your mother: “That would be delightful! Thanks.”

You: “Of course!”
