Rain occurs due to the process of condensation of water vapor in the atmosphere. This process forms water droplets that are quite large and eventually fall to the surface of the earth.Rain is influenced by convection processes in the atmosphere and oceans. Convection is a process of locking heat by mass movement of fluid from one area to another. Water will undergo a process of evaporation or evaporation due to the heat of the sun. Water vapor that floats into the air will eventually continue to move towards the atmosphere at a certain height and eventually become a very large collection of water vapor.

Water vapor that has gathered in the atmosphere will then undergo a process of compaction or condensation so that it will form clouds. Due to the wind load, these clouds meet each other and merge. The clouds then go to the lower temperature parts of the Earth's atmosphere and eventually form ice grains and air. The mass of the cloud is getting heavier so that the water droplets fall to the earth's surface. This process is also called the precipitation process.
