THE WATER CYCLEWater is an essential part of life. The earth has a limited amount
of water. The water keeps going around and around. That's why we
call it a cycle. This cycle is made up of evaporation, precipitation and
collection.
Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers or lakes or the ocean
and turns it into vapor or stream. The water vapor or steam leavers the
river, lake or ocean and goes into the air.
Water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back to liquid forming clouds.
This is called condensation
Precipitation happens when so much water has formed that the air cannot
hold it any longer. The clouds become heavier and as a result, water falls
back to earth in the form of rain, hail, sleet or snow.

When water falls back to earth as precipitation, It may fall back in the
oceans, lakes or rivers or it my end up on land. When it ends up on land,
it will either socks into the earth and is stored as ground water that plants
or it may run over the soil and collect in the oceans, lakes or rivers
After all this the cycle starts again
