Passive voice merupakan kalimat  pasif yang subjek dari kalimat tersebut tidak aktif dalam melakukan aksi melainkan menerima hasil aksi tersebut.

The displaced Rock punished the water above it​ (Active)

1. The surface layer soaked by water.
2. The water was punished by the displaced rock above it.

Passive voice tidak hanya mengubah bentuk kata kerja, namun sdalam setiap bentuk waktu menggunakan rumus yang berbeda, berikut rumusnya:

• Simple present tense

S + is/am/are + V3.

I'am kicked from discussion last night.

• Simple past tense

S + was/were + v3.

I was kicked from discussion last night.

• Simple future tense

S + will be + v3

I will be kicked from discussion at that moment.

• Simple past future tense

S + would/should + be + V3

I would be kicked from discussion at the moment.

• Present continuous tense

S + is/am/are + being + V3

I am being kicked from discussion at the moment.

• Past continuous tense

s + was/were + being +V3

I was being kicked from discussion last night.

• Future continuous tense

s + will be + V3

I will be kicked from discussion at the moment.

• Past future continuous tense

s + would/should + be + V3

I would be kicked from discussion at the moment.
