The story of Saw 3D is Mark Hoffman, who makes another play in his plan to get revenge on Jill Tuck after the events of Saw VI. To protect herself, Jill divulges Hoffman's secret to the police and Officer Matt Gibson ultimately attempts to end the killings for good. The seventh film answers most of the series' remaining open questions and concludes the final major storyline to bring the series to its tentative conclusion.
