Task 2.6 Writing Appropriate Topic Sentences For each of the following paragraphs write an appropriate topic sentence in the space provided. 1. In Malaysia, there is a wide network of main roads which have good surfaces. This makes the country safe for travelling by bicycle. However, the same is not true for the secondary road system, which is limited and not well maintained. If you want to go to out-of-the-way places, mountain bikes are recommended. 2. For most of the year, Suriname enjoys hot, sunny weather cooled by gentle ocean breezes. Suriname is not in a hurricane zone. It has two dry seasons and two rainy seasons each year. After the rain, the sun is always quick to reappear. 3. Singapore is a compact city and many of the attractions are within walking distance of the centre. Taking the bus is also a good option, but you will miss out on much of the street life if you use the bus too much. 4. There are flights to the Yucatán peninsula from inside Mexico itself, but also from the USA and many European cities. Most arrive at Cancun International Airport (CUN). There are also international airports in Mérida, Cozumel and Chetumal. In Campeche, there is an airport for domestic flights.​
