Jakabaring Lake is one of the important facilities in organizing the 2018 Asian Games. Palembang is the second city in Indonesia to participate in organizing the 2018 Asian Games. Lake Jakabaring is actually an artificial lake that is intentionally made for multifunctionality. Apart from being a tourist attraction, the South Sumatra Provincial government has also arranged these places as places before the 2018 Asian Games. This lake is located in the Jakabaring Sport City area. The concept of Jakabaring Sports City has existed since 2004 and then precisely during PON XVI. However, the spatial plan itself has existed since 1994-2004. Now Jakabaring Sports City has a total area of 360 hectares consisting of 20 venues. At the 2018 Asian Games, Lake Jakabaring was used as the venue for the rowing sport. The water in Lake Jakabaring looks clear so the color of this lake becomes bright blue when stung by the hot sun. This lake also meets the standards for international level rowing sports venues.
