It was a school holiday, when I and my family went for a tour to Belitung Island 'The Island of Negeri Laskar Pelangi'. We departed by plane from Surabaya and stop for a while in Soekarno-Hatta Airport Jakarta. From there we continued the journey to Palembang- Batam-Bangka. From Bangka we continued the journey to Belitung by ship from Pangkalbalam harbor and arrived in Tanjung Pandan harbor an hour later. You know because of the well-known novel 'Laskar Pelangi Tanjung Pandan harbor was replaced by 'Laskar Pelangi harbor. It was a long journey, and made us felt so tired, so we decided to check in to the hotel and have a rest

The next day we planned for touring to Gantung. It was the location where the movie 'Laskar Pelangi taken. We took some pictures of it and the school as the background. Then, we rent for a small boat to the north part of Tanjung Kelayang to Lengkuas Island It is a small island that could be traveled around in 20 minutes. The most interesting thing in this place is the old lighthouse which was built by the Dutch government in 1882. Having traveled around we spent an hour in Bukit Menumbing for lunch, and doing other interesting activities. We stayed in Belitung for a week later before we went home. Although the journey made us very exhausted, we were happy that we could visit Belitung one of the beautiful islands in Indonesia.
