Figurative language is useful for making a poem because it evokes more colorful ambience behind its literary meaning.  

1. Rhyme is similar sounds at the end of the words . It can b the same sounds at the middle/last words of the line  .

As I wake up in the morning,

I saw the sunshine in the window

As I go in the garden,

I saw the flowers as they grow.

The trees in the mountain

Gives us fresh air to inhale,

It gives us water everyday,

and fulfill life every way.

Today is a great day,

It’s a love fulfilling way,

It’s because I have to say,

That god is my guidance all the way

2. Alliteration is  a repetition of consonant sound at the beginning of the emphasized words.  We could hear the same consonant sounds which are attached at the beginning of words at the same line.

As I wake up in the morning,

I sawthesunshine in the window

As I goin thegarden,

I saw the flowers as they grow.

3. Assonance is a repetition of  vowel sounds  in the words. As we spell and read this poem , the words of each stanza consists the same vowel sounds  repeatedly  ( A, i, e, o, u ).

4. Consonance  is a repetition of consonant sound within the words.  As we spell , this poem consists the repeated consonant sounds “s”, “g”, “t”, “r” , “l” , and “n”

5. Imagery , an abstract image that appeals the sense  visualization ( through sight, smell, hearing, taste . The author tries to visualize his/her sense vividly without describing the real feeling.  The author tries to evoke visual imagery ( related to the sight ) through the verses “ i saw the sunshine , I saw the flowers ” , “Trees in the mountain” and “How beautiful surroundings .” Meanwhile , the verse “Fresh air to inhale “ is to evoke olfactory imagery ( related to smell ) . This imagery builds the reader’s mood.  

6 . Symbol is used to convey  the specific expression. This poetry uses nature  and element symbolism, all the Symbols in this poetry are related to the nature that have the worth meaning. The author writes  the phrases “morning”, “flowers”,  and “sunshine” ,   as the symbol of the new beginning. Meanwhile, the use of  elements of mother nature “air”, “water” , “mountain” as the supporting  symbol of  constancy/solidity and life changing.
