Hurricanes are intense low pressure areas that form over warm ocean areas and early fall. A hurricanes source of energy is water vapor which can’t be evaporated from the surface until the ocean temperature reaches 212°F, 100°c, the water will evaporate more quickly but at its coldest point the water will evaporate much more slowly.

A hurricane has many things that make it so destructive. Firstly a  thing that may help it is a hot tower which is air that rises through hot towers: columns of wind that moves upwards at more than 50km’s per hour and because of this at the top some air falls backwards into the eye and the rest spirals out.

 The next thing that belongs to a hurricane is the eye, the eye is the centre of the storm but about 200km’s from the eye, bands of spiraling cloud becomes the storms driving force this causes earths turning gradually bends this flow which turns it into an anti-clockwise direction.

The last thing that will help a hurricane is rain bands, rain bands are swirling rain filled clouds that are found around the edge therefore the ones nearest to the storms, are more powerful.

Due to the names of the hurricanes (depending on where they start). Hurricanes usually form or begin in tropical areas. A hurricane will form in the Atlantic Ocean, a cyclone will form in the Pacific Ocean and a typhoon will form in the Indian Ocean.

Most hurricanes are very devastating in America, they roughly have a hurricane every 1.34 years which is very quickly. Also the Bahamas is a common place for hurricanes and Bermuda is also a common place.
