Shinta: "Yes, please."

Jolly: "The OSIS coordinator told me that you've fulfilled all the requirements to run for the OSIS chairman next period."

Shinta: "What? I can't believe it."

Jolly: "Of course, congratulations, anyway. He told me to tell Shinta about this news. Besides, I'm so being enthusiastic in voting you."

Shinta: "Thank you, Jolly."

Jolly: "Oh, there are two candidates instead. I hope most members will choose you, and don't forget, I vote you for 100%. I hope you can do your missions well, work out in any your program, and assembling our OSIS much better."

Shinta: "Yes, Jolly. Thank you."

Jolly: "Okay, good luck, my friend. My phone's ringing. I've got to hang up first."

Shinta: "All right, Jolly."

Percakapan 2:

Shinta: "Hi, Jolly! How are you?"

Jolly: "Hello there, Shinta. I'm doing excellent now. How about you?

Shinta: "Yes, me either. Anyway, I've got a good news for you. Do you want to hear?"

Jolly: "My pleasure, yeah."

Shinta: "I've been doing my best in completing all the requirements for the OSIS chairman, and finally, I made it well. They selected me."

Jolly: "Wow! Congratulations, Shinta! I'm so happy to see you to be the next chairman."

Shinta: "I hope so. There is me, and the rest are two candidates."

Jolly: "Yeah, I hope people will vote you, and of course, I choose you. I also hope you can be the next leader for the OSIS; the responsible, care, and trustworthy leader."

Shinta: "Thank you, Jolly. I'm very excited. But, I think I have to go. There is a meeting among the OSIS members now.

Jolly: "Okay, then. Good luck, Shinta! I wish you best. Bye!

Shinta: "Thank you, Jolly. Okay, bye!"

Dialogue atau dialog disebut juga conversation (percakapan). Dialogue adalah obrolan diujarkan antara satu orang dengan satu orang lainnya menurut ekspresi masing-masing. Dialog terdiri atas minimal dua pembicara atau lebih, dan dalam bentuk kalimat langsung. Untuk membuat dialog, kita berikan nama, terus tanda titik dua untuk menyatakan apa yang mau dia bicarakan, dan tanda kutip di awal dan akhir kalimat.

Pembahasan

Hopes adalah ekspresi yang menunjukkan perhatian kita terhadap seseorang/sesuatu demi kebaikan mereka, juga kita sendiri. Memberikan hope sekiranya agar mereka dapat melaksanakan apa yang kita harapkan.

Menurut situasi di atas, Jolly mendengar kabar Shinta yang memenuhi persyaratan dalam pencalonan ketua OSIS. Harapan yang Jolly berikan sekiranya bisa terwujud, belum tentu benar atau tidak.

Untuk membuat hope, kita dapat mengawali dengan 'I hope + object + the rest of the sentence.' Membuat hope dalam bentuk present tense. Contohnya: I hope you'll be the next one. (will dalam kalimat di atas dalam bentuk present (past -> would). Beda dengan wish yang menjadi: I wish you'd be the next one.
