Sure, gracefellicia. Tapi panjang gapapa ya?
Once upon a night, the sky was gloomy, the moon was nowhere to be seen, and the wind was colder than usual. Me and my family was gathered around in the living room, with a wide sheet of blanket over our head, enjoying ourselves a cup of hot chocolate.
We were enjoying the late night show on the TV, when suddenly..
"Rriingg!!" The telephone rang impatiently near us.
"Go pick up the phone will you, dear?" My mom demanded to me, and I simply nod as a response and went to do as told.
"Hello, who is this?" I spoke to the person on the other side, I heard huffs and puffs as if they had just finished a marathon
"Help! My mother is taken away!" The person on the other side finally answered, turns out it was a kid calling.
"Okay, calm down little one. Now tell me, who is this I'm talking to?"
"My name is Sam, I'm calling you through my mom's phone, please help her!" His voice sounded terribly afraid.
Ah, Sam. I remember him to be the name of my English Teacher's son, poor boy must've been so scared!
"They brought a ropeandtied her hands together, and they gagher with ahandkerchief from the kitchen.." He sounded like he was about to cry.
"Okay, go hide in your room and lock up the door behind you, make sure you don't open the door for anyone unless you know it's me, okay?"
"But, how will I know if it's you or not?"
"My name is Aaron, I will yell out my name the second I arrive at your home, stay safe okay?"
"Okay.." The boy agreed in compliance and hung up.
I told my family that my English Teacher was in danger and his son is in need of help, and in no time we got up and went to her address.
My mom called the police and informed them about the situation, and they said there were already some officer dispatched in response to the kidnap situation, it looks like a neighbor was quick to help.
The second we arrived at the address, I leaped out of the car, rushing in the house and yelled "Sam, I'm Aaron, where are you?!"
A click from a door knob was heard from upstairs, followed with tiny footsteps coming closer and closer.
The boy was crying as he ran downstairs with his hands open, and I quickly embraced him in order to comfort him.
"It's okay, she's going to be okay." I added, and he seem to calm down a little.
We then waited for some hours. The clock showed it's already midnight and we were extremely worried, until we heard the siren coming from afar.
"Is that her?" I threw the question up in the air, no one answered because they were all wondering about the same question.
"I sure hope so." I mumbled, as I put Sam, who was already asleep, aside to let him rest in a more comfortable manner.
Me and my family stood up and walked out to the porch when the police was right outside the door.
There were 2 police officers escorting her back home, they had a little smile on their face, almost as if they were saying "Everything is okay and under control."
My mom went and rushed to my English Teacher, taking her from the police officers and thanked them. She looked exhausted and mostly shocked.
Me and my father went to talk to the police officers about the situation, and they said:
"The culprit was a man in need of some quick money, and he knew that Mrs. Galloway had a lot of riches at her disposal. So he took her to an abandoned warehouse nearby and held her hostage, expecting ransom money from her family. Luckily, someone was quick to call the police."
"Yes, and luckily you guys were quick to respond and undoing the knot, ultimately rescuing her." My father responded.
"That is our job, Sir. We'll make sure to work harder to keep everyone in check and not allow more people to be kidnappedand in order to keep her frombeing taken as hostage again. The culprit is now taken in for questioning and for sure he will be isolated in a prison for some time."
"Please do officers. Thank you for your service." We thanked them, and they said farewell.
We walked back in the house to check on my English Teacher, Mrs. Galloway.
She looked up at me and said, "Oh, Aaron. I can't thank you enough for helping my son. He must've been so scared witnessing all of it."
"It's okay Mrs. Galloway. We did what we could." I smiled to her as I said it.
"Thank you all. I will grant you all a wish as a reward if need be.."
"No need, Mrs. Galloway. Our wish is for you and your family to just be safe and live a happy life." My mom responded wisely, and we all agree as a family.
