Ada dua struktur kalimat causative, yaitu:

Active causative

• Subject + let / make / have + object (someone) + base verb (v₁)
• Subject + get + object (someone) + to + infinitive (v₁)

E.g.

• I have the mechanic fix my car.
• I get the mechanic to fix my car.

Passive causative

• Subject 1 + let / make / have / get + object (something) + past participle (v₃)

E.g
