The Calm after the stormIt was pouring with rain all weekend, so we spent almost the whole time indoors trying to entertain the kids. Then
unexpectedly, the sun came out late on Sunday afternoon. We grabbed our beach gear, jumped into the car and
headed down to the bay. When we got there, we realized that everyone had had the same idea! The beach was
packed. But everyone was staring out to sea and picking stuff up off the sand. Ellie, Louis and Oscar rushed down
to the water edge, full of excitement. It turned out that a ship has lost its' cargo in Saturday's storm. Five containers
of Nike trainers had washed up on the beach! Everyone was clutching odd shoes, looking for the other one to make
a pair! What a strange end to the weekend!
