Hello, friends. My name is Nirina, I joined a poetry recitation competition last
week. The competition took place at SD Negeri Tunas Bangsa. I felt very excited
at that time. It was my first experience to join such a poetry recitation. There were
fifteen students who joined the competition. I got number 12. When it came to num-
ber 10, I began to feel nervous. My body trembled, and I couldn't speak properly.
My English teacher calmed me down. She said that I could do it well. I recited two
poetries from Sapardi Djoko Damono and Chairil Anwar. When it came to my turn,
I delivered the poetry with proper mimic, gesture, and tone. I felt so relief when I
finished. It was great when I was announced as the winner. I was very happy at
the moment.
