There has been a bit of confusion recently as members of the Judging Board had applied this message before it became official. Effective immediately, Clarification on Marble verses Multicolor. Any Betta with 4 or more colors is a Multicolor. This does not mean that 4 or more colors must be shown in Multicolor. It is possible that a Betta that is Multicolor could still be eligible for another class such as Butterfly or Form – Finnage class. Marbles are defined as a Betta with Light color with a broken up pattern. There can be 2 and 3 color marbles. The key is the light color. If a Betta does not have a light color then it is reclassified to Multicolor unless it clearly fits into another class. Example Butterfly.
