1. U.S Dropping nuclear weapons on the japanese cities of hiroshima and nagasaki in order to subdue them into surrender.

2. On 6th of august 1945, U.S. Dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima and then 16 hours later US President Harry S. Truman told japan to surrender. Then on 9th of august, The U.S. Dropped another atomic bomb on Nagasaki.

3. The Events took place during the final stage of world war II.

4. The nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki resulted in Japan's announcement of Surrender on the 15th of august 1945. the bombings took the lives of Japan's citizens, Killing 90.000-146.000 people in Hiroshima, 39.000-80.000 in Nagasaki. The instrument of surrender was officially signed by Japan on the 2nd of September War II.

5. The date is highly significant because it is the day that Japan singer the instrument of surrender which effectively tender the World War II.
