Don't be ashamed to be poor

I am the son of a scavenger and laborer. My father is a factory worker and my mother often works to collect used goods, to supplement school fees and the life of me and my younger siblings. However, I am happy and always grateful. I have both good and loving parents.

Many children are not necessarily as lucky as me. No father or mother. Even though I was always insecure about our situation, I still fought and studied as best I could so that I could be a child that my parents would be proud of.

And I sell cookies at school. Any cakes that my mother makes sell in class to my friends. Even though it's not much, it's enough to save for school fees. Sometimes fried bananas, bakwan, and lapis.

I'm not ashamed, I carry it with a large plastic bag, every break I offer it to my friends. I'm surprised to see friends who live well enough, but are not diligent in studying and grateful. It turns out that sincerity and never giving up make anyone happy.

Now I'm sitting on a student bench to continue my scholarship to the master's level. The fragment of my story earlier is the story of when I was in elementary school. Even though now my father is gone, I will not waste all of my father's sacrifices. Now I have worked in a company.

My salary is enough to pay for my mother and younger siblings to go to school. I am very grateful because so far there are many facilities that God has given me. Once again, I want to say don't be ashamed to be poor. But, shame if we are not able to be useless people.

Even though I have been successful, I still believe that I am a poor child of a scavenger who remains grateful and learns continuously to become a successful person.
