1. Our home planet Earth is a rocky, terrestrial planet. It has a solid and active surface with mountains, valleys, canyons, plains and so much more. Earth is special because it is an ocean planet. Water covers 70% of Earth's surface.

2. The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite and the fifth largest moon in the solar system. The Moon's presence helps stabilize our planet's wobble and moderate our climate.

3. Our Sun is a 4.5 billion-year-old star. A hot glowing ball of hydrogen and hellium at the center of our solar system. The Sun is abou 150 million kilometers from Earth, and without its energy, life as we know it could not exist here on our home planet.

4. A star is any massive self-luminous celestial body of gas that shines by radiation derived from its internal energy sources. Of the tens of billions of trillions of stars in the observable universe, only a very small percentage are visible to the naked eye.

5. A meteor is a streak of light in the sky caused by a meteoroid crashing through Earth's atmosphere. Meteoroids are lumps of rock or iron that orbit the sun. Most meteoroids are small fragments of rock created by asteroid collisions. Comets also create meteoroids as they orbit the sun and shed dust and debris.
