Pronouns are words that can replace nouns.

Here's some examples:

► She loves her new phone.

► He likes turtles.

► It is very cold today.

► Who is that person?

► Which Umbrella is yours?

► Those guys are mean!

► Somebody in the room just farted.

Pronouns are a little bit different from nouns. But one thing that separates pronouns and nouns is that pronouns has varieties. Observe.

➽ Pronouns can be personal words ► I, we, you, he, she, it, they.

➽ Pronouns can be demonstrative words  ► this, these, that, those.

➽ Pronouns can be relative words ► who, which, that, as.

➽ Pronouns can be indefinite words ► each, all, everyone, either, one, both, any, such, somebody.

➽ Pronouns can be interrogative words  ► who, which, what.

➽ Pronouns can be reflexive words  ► myself, herself.

➽ Pronouns can be possessive words ► mine, yours, his, hers.
