Jonathan Ive was a king of designer in Apple company and he became the most important indust
designer in the world. The most important thing for industrial designers is function - what something is werd
wbat it can do. And with computers speed was the most important thing. Nobody cared what they looked li
people just wanted them to be fast, really fast. But when Jonathan Ive designed the iMac for Apple, he design
something beautiful, and people loved it. It was still a good computer and very casy to use, but they also lou
the way it looked - the round shape, the colors – and they all bought it. Then, the iPod is another example
